Project Overview
The equipment, supporting steel structures and related components for the spodumene roasting and acidification project in Pohang, South Korea were prefabricated as modules and assembled on site. The modular approach increased the level of off-site fabrication, reduced on-site construction work and shortened the installation period.
On site, the modular units were positioned, aligned and connected to the process line, with inspection carried out throughout installation to maintain alignment, structural integrity and long-term operational reliability under the high-temperature and corrosive conditions of the roasting and acidification process.
